Your data, briefly

Privacy Policy

How DreamDate Reviews handles data: privacy-first consent, no analytics before opt-in, preferences stored locally, no data selling, and your choices. A disclosed first-party site.

Last updated July 22, 2026

This policy explains what DreamDate Reviews collects, what it does not, and the choices you have. We designed the site to need very little about you, so this is shorter than most.

The short version. We keep as little as possible. We use a privacy-first consent banner, load no non-essential or analytics scripts before you say yes, store your language and consent choice locally in your browser, and never sell your data. Comments you post stay in your own browser.

What we collect, and what we do not

We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not collect your name, email, or payment details simply for browsing. We never see any information you enter into Swipey or any other app; those are separate services with their own policies. What we handle falls into three small buckets, below.

  • Consent and preferences: your cookie and language choices are stored locally in your browser (localStorage) so the site remembers them. They stay on your device.
  • Optional analytics: only if you consent, we record privacy-respecting, aggregate page views to understand what is useful. No analytics beacon fires before consent.
  • Things you send us: if you email us or post in the Swipey Discord, we receive whatever you choose to share, and use it only to reply.

On your first visit you will see a consent banner that defaults to the most privacy-preserving state. Non-essential and analytics scripts do not run until you opt in, and you can decline and still use the whole site. Your choice is remembered locally and you can change it at any time. The mechanics are in our cookie policy.

Comments and local data

Some pages let you leave a comment. Those comments are saved only in your own browser's local storage as a lightweight demo feature; they are not transmitted to a server, are visible only to you on that device, and disappear if you clear your browser data.

Third parties and links

Links to Swipey carry our own internal Everflow tracking parameters so we can measure our pages; this is first-party measurement within our network and earns us no third-party commission. When you click through to Swipey, a competitor's official site, or another site in our network, you enter a separate service governed by its own privacy policy. We do not control and are not responsible for their practices.

Your choices and rights

Because most of what the site stores lives on your own device, you are in control: clear your browser data to remove your preferences and any comments, or decline analytics to stop aggregate measurement. For anything you have emailed us, you can ask us to delete it by writing to the desk. We honour reasonable access and deletion requests.

Security, retention, and children

We keep the data footprint small on purpose, which is the best security there is. We retain email correspondence only as long as needed to help you. This is an 18+ site and is not directed at children; we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
